These workshops are for anyone thinking of developing their acting skills or wondering how to advance their career as a performer. Anyone signing up from London for these workshops will also get an automatic place for DYC later this year!

Kelsey Gordon

Kelsey is an actress, facilitator and storyteller based in South East London. She graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Drama, Applied Theatre and Education. Her work as an actor includes Messy (Zoo Co Theatre), Listen (BFI Film Academy short film), Pretty Bop (R.A.E music video), And Others (Graeae play reading), FGM (Sign Health awareness video) and Reverberation (BSL Zone).She has also worked with Handprint Theatre and Mousetrap, leading and assisting workshops for children.

 Ciaran O’Brien

As a performer, theatre maker, artist and BSL guide, Ciaran is interested in exploring mime and Visual Vernacular and also investigating, within other theatre forms, how our mental images can be mingled with our physical movement to create a narrative. He is currently part of the Made in Bristol scheme in residence at the Bristol Old Vic and assists in drama classes there. Ciaran is also a workshop facilitator for Rising Arts Agency, which encourages young deaf people to express their experiences of barriers to arts participation. Often he leads BSL art exhibition tours around Bristol and the UK and is looking forward to playing Quasimodo in the National Youth Music Theatre’s production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame this August.
