Hermia loves Lysander and Helena loves Demetrius – but Demetrius is supposed to be marrying Hermia… When the Duke of Athens tries to enforce the marriage, the lovers take refuge in the woods and walk into the midst of a dispute between the king and queen of the fairies. A teasing, glittering, very funny and amazingly inventive play, whose seriousness is only fleetingly glimpsed beneath its dreamlike surface. ★★★★ "It worked a dream for both the hearing and the deaf for both the hearing and the deaf… A ridiculous, riotous farce." The Reviews Hub "A highly innovative visual storytelling method" Disability Arts Online "Perfectly encapsulates Deafinitely’s mission to provide a theatrical experience that is inclusive of both Deaf and hearing people…" Exuent Magazine Cast Helena -Charlotte Arrowsmith Lysander - Adam Bassett Peter Quince - Ralph Bogard Hermia - Fifi Garfield Puck - Alim Jayda Theseus/Oberon - Ace Mahbaz Fairy - Anna-Maria Nabirye Hippolyta/Titania - Nadia Nadarajah Demetrius - Lee Robertson Bottom - David Sands Francis Flute-Jason Taylor Creative Team Author - William Shakespeare Director - Paula Garfield Set & Costumes Designer - Paul Burgess Booking for this event has now closed.
