We are thrilled to announce that the Deafinitely Youth Theatre Summer School is going ahead this summer, on Zoom

Due to Coronavirus we are taking our summer school online and will be offering this free digital summer school to deaf young Londoners aged 14-21 at the end of August. This project is funded by The Mayor's Young Londoners Fund.

Leading BSL actors and creatives including Brian Duffy, Chris Fonseca and Nadia Nadarajah (with more to be announced) are working with Deafinitely Theatre to provide an action-packed week of eye-opening theatre workshops including improvisation, devising, physical theatre, visual vernacular and visual poetry.

DYT Summer School 2020 focuses on the theme of lockdown and will finish with a public performance over Zoom. It is a brilliant opportunity for young people to meet other deaf young people and learn more about getting involved in theatre – without even leaving your home!

  • Dates: Monday 24 — Friday 28 August 2020.
  • Times: 11:00 — 16:00 daily (with breaks included throughout the day of online Zoom workshop sessions. You must be able to attend every day to take part).
  • Location: Your computer! We will send you a link to Deafinitely Theatre’s Zoom.

If you have any questions about taking part, don’t hesitate to email us at [email protected]
